    a) Increased signal intensity in T2-weighted (STIR) magnetic resonance imaging sequence and (b) late-gadolinium enhancement imaging of the sub-epicardial layer of the basal-inferior, basal-inferolateral and apical lateral left ventricular wall (arrows), findings are compatible with acute focal myocarditis.
