Spasticity is a distressing symptom and any improvements in treatment are welcome. The RCP has recently published evidence-based national guidelines on the management of spasticity using botulinum toxin. The guideline development group, chaired by Lynne Turner-Stokes, is to be congratulated on a guide which is a model of clarity to describe the effective and appropriate use of botulinum toxin.
