Assisted by new funding opportunities and a recognition of their role in interdisciplinary working, NMAHPs are driving innovative patient care. Challenges still remain to maximise the potential of NHAMPs in clinical research; signposting opportunities to become involved in research, promoting clear career pathways and developing innovative roles with the NHS to attract and retain this community are critical.
