AB  - This paper discusses the present extent and limits of a persons right to choose when and how to die, in the light of the contrasting decisions in the cases of Mrs Pretty (who was not allowed the choice) and Ms B (who was), and of the European Convention of Human Rights. It also discusses whether the Convention might eventually develop a right to self determination which would include such a right.
