AB This article explores the effectiveness of NHS trust boards, how they can be assessed and on what basis. The author is a governance specialist with considerable experience of advising directors in the health sector. He looks at types of trust board, describes types of evaluation, and considers the nature of effectiveness in the 21st century NHS.
