Comorbidities include chronic lung disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity (body mass index ≥30 kg/m2), chronic kidney disease, vasculopathy (including cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease and peripheral vascular disease), immunosuppressive therapy, HIV and previous venous thromboembolism.
