  • Low-risk population is defined as an ARF incidence ≤2 per 100,000 school-aged children or ≤1 per 1000 population per year. For a diagnosis, two major criteria or one major and two minor criteria must be fulfilled in the presence of a recent group A streptococcus (GAS) infection.4
